So you see starlings (N. American

pop., 200 mill) are an invasive species.

Their presence has pushed out many

native birds. But crows are not so docile.

When a murmuration of starlings shows

up in the same place as a murder of crows,

battle lines are drawn. Lines I unknowingly crossed.
