Dear Remy,

I was walking to my usual spot when I

saw that a crow had pinned a starling

to the gravel path and was slowly peck-

ing it to death. Humans are so easily

shocked when presented with nature’s

cruelty. I grabbed a rock and whipped

it at the crow.
